The beauty of a wedding ceremony is in the details. I'm lucky enough to serve as a wedding officiant and non-denominational minister, which allows me to view and appreciate the creative and artistic nature of weddings. My job as a justice of the peace is to help manage the wedding, guide the couple, and provide direction to the Bride and Groom on vows and ring exchange and when to celebrate, but there are a lot of other moving parts to a wedding. The wedding officiant is just one of those.
