When I officiate weddings, I've been called many things....it's window dressing, inconsequential, minor, but the names I go by are important and many. From minister (non-denominational minister), to justice of the peace, to officiant, to magistrate, to preacher, to pastor, to priest. The wedding ceremony is an honorable, important, memorable, special, unique event, a once-in-a-lifetime thing that not everyone gets. It is amazing to oversee the wedding ceremony, to serve as a non-denominational minister, to execute the marriage of couples. It is my favorite thing in the world.
