I love the short-notice, spur-of-the-moment, gotta-get-this-done wedding ceremony. It doesn't happen often, but occasionally I get a call that "we need to get married today, can you do it?" And most times I'm lucky enough to have flexibility to respond in the affirmative. As a non-denomination minister, justice of the peace, and professional wedding officiant, I'm almost always on call, and even though sometimes the wedding ceremony isn't "planned", there is purpose behind it. This cute couple, and their awesome Frenchie met me at SugarHouse Park to have a quick wedding ceremony, knowing that they would plan a bigger event in the future with family and friends, and that's partially the age of COVID, and partially a logistical decision. In either case, I was glad to officiate for them, and hope our paths cross again.
