My favorite part of every wedding ceremony is actually completely optional...exchanging of personal vows. Pictured here, the groom has the mic and is reading the vows he wrote for his beautiful bride. By far the most emotional part of a wedding ceremony, and the most interesting part of being a non-denominational minister, is when the bride or groom is devoting themselves to their love, providing some heartfelt words about what they are doing and why they are doing it. And while my job as a wedding officiant is to run the ceremony, I'm always happy to hand off the microphone for a few minutes to the couple can express their love for each other.
