One of the coolest spots in the Salt lake Valley, adjacent to the University of Utah and the Shoreline trail is beautiful Emigration Canyon. Most locals know dining in the canyon at a place called Ruth's Diner, but I found a new place this week, because I was asked to officiate a wedding on the second floor of the Emigration Brewery (which actually shares a parking lot with Ruth's). As a non-denominational minister and professional wedding officiant, most of the venues I'm asked to officiate at are not religious establishments, which may seem strange in general, but especially in Utah (where the religious climate can be almost overwhelming). The title "non-denominational minister", however, denotes that I'm not associated with a church or any religious organization, hence why I can officiate a wedding at a brewery. Ha. One of the coolest ones yet right here.
